Testing of Bulletproof Vests
I read an article this week on wired.com about the testing of bulletproof vest. It started by asking some questions, and saying nothing is bulletproof only bullet resistance. The bullets do penetrate the vest, so a question followed. How much damage is done, while the vest still saved a life? The test involved using 220-pounds of modeling clay to wear the vest and a machine (pictured) to fire the bullets. The goal was to see the result of more than one bullet hitting the same spot. This machine shot six .44-caliber, and six .357 rounds into the vest. I think we should try to make the police and army as safe as possible.
